Ian Brodie’s book, The Hobbit Motion Picture Trilogy Location Guidebook is a very useful tool when planning and executing your own Middle-earth adventure in New Zealand!
I met Ian in Queenstown way back in 2002 (I think), when he was researching locations for his original The Lord of the Rings Location Guidebook. I helped Ian find locations around Queenstown, Arrowtown and Glenorchy and during the process we ended up good friends. As the years have gone by, we have found even more common interests (cars, movies, aviation and music) and now I’m proud to be great friends with both Ian and his family.
The Hobbit Guidebook book is beautifully put together, with amazing full page colour photos, and interviews & introductions from various cast and crew members. The large format is going to look great on your coffee 
table and will help you either plan your adventure to Middle-earth New Zealand, or reminisce on your trip after you get home. There are currently two versions of the book available for different markets, The hard cover version linked above is for the US market, while the NZ version is available in paperback. At this stage I’m not sure which book will be sold in different markets – either one is awesome!

Hello I wonder if you can help me. We went to the Hobbit for holiday trip and bought your hobbit location guide book and when we left to fly to England it was misplaced in the bag. I bought this book and it was signed for my wife so she was upset. So I wondered if you have any more copys I could buy please??
